Heritage Circle

UCSF’s Heritage Circle was established in 1986 to honor those who have included UCSF in their estate plans or who have established some other type of planned gift, such as a charitable trust or a charitable gift annuity. Member benefits include invitations to special campus events, such as a biennial luncheon hosted by the chancellor, allowing an inside look at the state-of-the-art research, clinical care, and education activities taking place at UCSF every day.

Heritage Circle has more than 300 members, and it would be our honor to welcome you to this very special group. If you are interested in joining Heritage Circle or if you have included or wish to include UCSF in your estate plan, please let us know.

In recent years, members have enjoyed events like the Heritage Circle Tea/Luncheon. On one such occasion, they and their guests were hosted by Chancellor Sam Hawgood at the San Francisco Film Centre in The Presidio of San Francisco. The elegant setting was the perfect backdrop to acknowledge Heritage Circle members for their generosity in including UCSF in their estate plans. Jennifer Grandis, MD, and Suneil Koliwad, MD, PhD, led a stimulating discussion on precision medicine and its current impact and potential for treating diabetes and other diseases.
